Executive Director & Lead Mental Health Clinician

A.Rahema Mooltrey, Boston, Ma, USA

is an educator, social worker, community organizer, writer, traveler, and joy promoter. As the director of Radical Joy Inc., she seeks to encourage mental, physical, social, and financial wellness in vulnerable populations and provides social justice support to those that work within these populations to reduce harm. She believes that maintaining balance and practicing self-care is a way to protest against oppressive systems in society. Rahema received her undergraduate degree from George Washington University, her master’s in social work from Boston College, and her master's in education from UMASS Boston through the Boston Teacher Residency program.  She is the recipient of The Philanthropic Foundation’s Unsung Hero Award and Access Boston’s First One’s Award.

D. Sizwe Mankazana, South Africa

has years of experience in the finance industry in South Africa. He received his undergraduate degree from The George Washington University in the U.S. His heart is filled by helping others through philanthropic work is excited to work with Radical Joy Inc to support children's access to education in South Africa and connect educators and companies in South Africa to our programs.

 

Liz O’Connor, Boston, Ma, USA

is an organizational change and strategic planning consultant. She is Principal and owner of Strategy Matters, LLC which is a small firm operating out of Dorchester, MA.  Liz's interests are in helping groups find the right structures and processes to enable their best work and to bring out the best in all team members. She is honored to work with Radical Joy and hopes that Rahema's way of thinking takes hold in every corner of the globe.

 

Shamekia Gordon, Boston, Ma, USA

is a passionate community advocate who has over 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector in the areas of human services, community building, partnership development, workforce development and youth development.

She earned her undergraduate degree in political science from Tuskegee University and her master’s degree in organizational leadership from Wheelock College. In addition to the many years she has spent advocating for and assisting children, youth & families living in struggling communities, Shamekia has worked with organizational leaders to develop programs aimed at large-scale community change and designed strategies for improvement in organizational operations at large nonprofits. Shamekia is a relentless advocate for marginalized people.

Aisha Bonnet, London, United Kingdom

Aisha holds a Master of Science in Clinical Applications to Psychology from Kingston University and has extensive experience in special education, psychological support, and child development. For over 10 years, she has worked as a SEN Private Support Worker, providing tailored assistance to children with special needs in various educational and healthcare settings. Additionally, she has worked as an ABA Therapist and SENCO Assistant, focusing on behavior management and therapy for children on the autism spectrum and those with developmental disabilities.

Her skill set spans curriculum development, teaching, psychology, child care, and behavior analysis. Aisha has also gained experience as a Physio Assistant and as an Executive Assistant to a Chief Executive Officer, demonstrating her adaptability across different sectors. With strong communication, teamwork, and creativity, she thrives in roles that support children, young people, and families. Her career is driven by a deep commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with learning disabilities, mental health challenges, and developmental needs.

Joanne Marshall, London, United Kingdom

 Joanne started her career in retail Banking, working her way through to

eventually becoming a High net-worth, Client Portfolio Manager. Alongside

this, she has had a long music career (from the age of 17) as a Session

Backing Vocalist and had the pleasure of working with various Artists on

Live Stage, TV and live Radio shows, as well as having the privilege of a

number of UK Tours and recordings in the USA. Joanne obtained her teaching

qualification in 2007 as a Singing teacher with The Royal College of Music

and started her first company: Melody Vocal Academy from there. She later

ran a joint venture company offering in-studio masterclass workshops in

songwriting amongst other creative subjects. Joanne has been a full-time

business woman since 2017 and is Director of a number of Companies in the The

UK. As an Entrepreneur, she is well-versed in the triumphs and challenges of

building a business from the ground up and has always been a hands-on

leader with all of her ventures. Alongside work life, Joanne pastors a

Christian Church along with her husband in north London and her hobbies

are reading, songwriting, writing poetry, singing and playing guitar.

Bethany Shiner, Birmingham, United Kingdom

is a senior lecture in law at Middlesex University and a qualified non-practising solicitor-advocate who before joining Middlesex was a judicial review lawyer at Public Interest Lawyers. She is completing her PhD at the University of Oxford on the right to freedom of thought. She has been involved in numerous philanthropic projects. She is excited to work with Radical Joy Inc to support educators' mental health.
