We care for the people that care for people.
Radical Joy aims to reduce the burnout of people who work in social service and community focused professions.
This includes educators, social workers, therapists, nurses, activists, parents etc. We want to remind people of their inherent worth and help them reduce guilt when they need rest.
We pay particular attention to supporting Black and Brown people in these industries because societal oppression creates makes it even harder to maintain their wellbeing while trying to support our communities.
Because we know that mental health alone won't solve this issue, we also provide Diversity Equity & Inclusion education to organizations, schools, and universities to help reduce harm in their practice with clients, students, and coworkers.
We have over 10 years of experience in the realms of education, community organizing, and mental health and have served hundreds of participants.
Our work is global with us facilitating workshops, leading retreats, and doing school consulting in 5 countries; the United States, United Kingdom, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa.

Self-care workshop
"I'm a different person. I've lost 8 pounds, I've stopped drinking, and I pass this joy on. People keep asking me what I'm doing. I tell them I'm staying alive by taking small bits of the day to love myself. I'm able to do the hard work in the world without relying on food and alcohol. I'm able to support others more. I feel more centered in my mind and body."
Social Justice Be a Better Ally Workshop
"To me it was learning how to recognize microaggressions in my own behavior towards people of color and making myself acknowledge those thoughts and ideas I had."
Access to Education
"I don’t know what we would do without Rahema’s help in getting us donations for these students. It makes such a difference for their future”.
